Phone not listed?

Is your wireless device not listed in the International roaming search tool?

There are two reasons why this could be happening.

1. You are using a non-SaskTel wireless device.

Non-SaskTel devices are not included in the International roaming search tool.  To find out if your Non-SaskTel device is capable of international roaming, follow these steps:

  1. Look up what networks and bands (also known as frequencies) your device is capable of roaming on.  This can be found by referring to your device's manual or by searching for your device on websites such as gsmarena.com.  For example, the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant is capable of roaming on GSM networks on the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz bands, and on networks on the 1700, 1900 and 2100 Mhz bands.
  2. Use the SaskTel International roaming search tool and select All Manufacturers and All Models, select your travel destination, then click Submit. This will give you a complete list of roaming networks available to SaskTel customers in the destination you have selected.
  3. Compare the available bands in the destination you're travelling to with the bands your device is capable of roaming on.  If there is a match, then your device can roam on that network.  For example, if the search tool indicates there is a network at your destination that operates on the GSM 1900Mhz band, and your device is capable of roaming on a GSM 1900Mhz band, then you will likely be able to use your device on that network.

2. You are using a CDMA wireless device.

CDMA wireless devices are not included in the International roaming search tool as these devices have very limited international roaming capabilities (most international networks use 4G/GSM technology). However, there are a few international locations with CDMA coverage that you may be able to roam on:
