4G LTE Network
Learn more about the 4G LTE Network.  To access the 4G LTE network, you must have a 4G LTE-capable device and 4G LTE-SIM card.  At this time, 4G LTE coverage is only available within Saskatchewan.

4G Network
Learn more about the 4G Network. To access the 4G network, you must have a 4G device. View the 4G Network improvement schedule to see if any 4G coverage improvements are planned for your community.

CDMA Network
SaskTel offers Roaming Partner cellular coverage in two main areas: south of Coronach and south of Lake Alma to the United States. To access the CDMA network, you must have a CDMA device.

Through SaskTel partnerships with wireless carriers across Canada, you have access to wireless coverage throughout Canada. While traveling in Canada, you have access to the same services as at home, including, but not limited to, voice, data, voice mail, text messaging and most other calling features.

4G LTE Network
At launch, the SaskTel 4G LTE Network will only be available to SaskTel 4G LTE Wireless Customers within Saskatchewan.. SaskTel is currently working with other Canadian wireless carriers to allow SaskTel customers the ability to roam on other LTE networks in Canada.

4G Network
The 4G network enables you to use your 4G phone on similar GSM and 4G networks across Canada where SaskTel has established roaming agreements with other 4G compatible network providers. Expanded 4G coverage within Manitoba is now available!

CDMA Network
EV-DO devices will operate on the EV-DO network where available in Canada. Where not available, these devices will revert to the 1X network. 1X devices use 1X service in Bell / Bell West, MTS, Telus and Aliant 1X coverage areas in Canada. There are no special or extra charges for roaming.

SaskTel has roaming agreements in most American wireless coverage areas, giving you access to a large U.S. wireless network. Data roaming is available throughout the United States, although speeds will vary by location.

4G Network

AT&T Coverage

SaskTel has coverage on AT&T (as well as other regional operators) in the United States. You can use your 4G device for voice calling, data and text functionality where there is coverage.

Note: We strongly suggest that you use AT&T when roaming in the U.S. as the network provides quicker network connection times and faster data speeds. If the device doesn't automatically select AT&T, you can manually select AT&T.

CDMA Network
SaskTel has U.S. roaming partnerships with Sprint and Verizon. Use the Sprint Coverage Tool or Verizon Coverage Tool to search for your travel destination and find out what type of coverage is available.

Note: Customers with BlackBerry Storm or Tour and International Roaming activated may pick up the GSM network in the United States. Use the AT&T Coverage Viewer to search for your travel destination and find out what type of coverage is available.

To find out which services are available (voice, text message or data) in your travel area, use the International Roaming Search Tool.

To get an idea of the coverage you can expect during your travels in GSM areas, go to GSM Coverage Maps and Roaming Information.

  • Select your destination country.
  • Find the name of a carrier that has a 2100 network.  You may want to print this list of carriers for future reference during your trip.
  • Select the ‘coverage map’ link to view the areas in which the carrier has coverage.  You may want to print this map for future reference during your trip.
