YOUTHnetwork
Our youth are the future leaders of our province. We’ve created YOUTHnetwork to engage and empower Saskatchewan youth.
YOUTHnetwork connects with students in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools across the province. Its programs and initiatives help them:
- Pursue their education and career goals
- Consider post-secondary education in technology-related programs
- Look to us as their employer of choice
- Find a mentor
- Apply for our scholarships
- Volunteer for great causes
Success starts with skills
Skills and assistance are critical to the next generation’s success. So we’re connecting them with what they need to succeed. We offer everything from scholarships to a Summer Hire program.
Our mentors guide the way
We provide mentorship to students through our educational partners, such as the Saskatoon Public School Board, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT), and the Gabriel Dumont Institute.
We also partner with various high schools and post-secondary institutions across the province that offer an Electrical and Electronics program. SaskTel provides valuable support and training to students in these classes in the area of basic telephony and fibre installation, mirroring core functions of SaskTel’s business. Along with providing youth with real-world applications in the classroom, SaskTel provides summer internship opportunities to students in the participating Electrical and Electronics classes, providing direct work experience in a career in the ICT and telecommunications industry.
We lend them a hand
Volunteerism is a big part of what we do. Our YOUTHnetwork volunteers log countless kilometres and hours connecting with the next generation. They take part in career fairs, presentations, and engagements across Saskatchewan.
