August 26, 2024

Today, SaskTel celebrated the grand opening of its new store in the City of Prince Albert. Located in The Yard District, Prince Albert’s growing business and entertainment district, the new store is the first to feature SaskTel’s new retail design concept. Featuring interactive displays, spacious serving areas, and other innovative amenities, the new store promises an elevated buying and support experience for all SaskTel customers in and around Prince Albert.

“SaskTel’s new store is a great addition to the City of Prince Albert and will contribute to our community’s strong and vibrant economy,” said Jim Lemaigre, MLA for Athabasca. “The enhanced products and services available at this new location will help connect families in the Prince Albert area and across Northern Saskatchewan.”

“Our customers are at the centre of everything we do at SaskTel, and the new store concept that we unveiled in Prince Albert truly embodies our customer-centric approach to business,” said Charlene Gavel, SaskTel President and CEO. “We are incredibly excited to bring a more personalized store experience to our customers in and around Prince Albert and look forward to serving them in this new space for years to come.”

With its open and welcoming layout, SaskTel’s new Prince Albert store will serve as a blueprint for all future remodels and is designed to allow for customers to comfortably discover all of SaskTel’s products and services. Design features of the new store include:

  • Interactive Home area: The Home area invites customers to interact with SaskTel infiNET™ service, Internet, maxTV, Whole-Home Wi-Fi and home security services. Interactive displays enable customers to compare packages and explore the variety of services available at their address so they can better select the services and packages that work best for them and their family.
  • Wireless Centre: The spacious store also boasts a new Wireless Centre featuring best-selling smartphones and accessories from the most popular brands. The Wireless Centre includes an 86” digital display showcasing SaskTel’s growing 5G network and other wireless services.
  • Newly designed consultation stations: The service area features new consultation stations where customers have the freedom to sit or stand alongside SaskTel’s friendly and knowledgeable staff while they explore SaskTel’s products and services.
  • Accessibility: The new store concept was purposefully designed to remove the barriers that those with accessibility challenges are faced with. The store features portable furniture in a variety of heights, sit-stand workstations, and linear displays that allow products to be displayed at easier to reach heights. Additionally, the store has lower lighting levels and matte finishing on counters to reduce the reflectivity of surfaces.

SaskTel is celebrating the grand opening of its new store in Prince Albert from August 26 – 31. Customers are encouraged to visit the store, located at 100 - 405 7th Avenue East, to check out the new design. While there they can also enter to win a $500 SaskTel Store gift card or a pair of tickets to a Saskatchewan Roughriders game.

Additionally, all customers are invited to stop by their nearest SaskTel store for Customer Appreciation Day, on August 29, 2024, for in-store deals and the opportunity to enter to win a $100 SaskTel Store gift card or a pair of tickets to a Saskatchewan Roughrider game.
