In 2024-25, we're investing $140.6 million in wireless infrastructure which will allow us to upgrade more than 200 cell sites across the province including rural and resort areas, First Nations communities, and small population centres. We also plan to expand our 5G 3500MHz coverage, which is a mid-band spectrum that will improve the 5G network by delivering additional speed and capacity across the province in the coming years. SaskTel’s 5G network covers approximately 85% of the Saskatchewan population. SaskTel business customers can take advantage of SaskTel's 5G network which is available in Saskatchewan's nine major urban centres, along major highways, and in rural and resort areas.
Our 5G network is extremely fast, delivering blazing speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps allowing you to stream, download, and upload huge quantities of data in no time at all. 5G is available Canada-wide in select locations and will continue to expand. View 5G coverage. See 5G and LTE Network Enhancements for a list of recently implemented enhancements.
Internet of Things (IoT) support
5G increases the number of devices that can communicate on the network. This allows for Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, which refers to physical devices that are connected to the Internet. Smart services that can be managed by a smart phone app are powered by IoT devices.
Lower latency
With 5G, SaskTel is revolutionizing the way we deliver our network and broadband solutions. Lower latency means better connections between your business and the network. Businesses that are looking to start using cutting-edge services, particularly things like driverless vehicles, augmented reality, or virtual reality, will benefit from lower latency.
You'll need a SaskTel 5G-certified device, a 5G-compatible rate plan, and be in 5G coverage to take advantage of 5G speeds. When you're not in 5G coverage, your SaskTel 5G-certifed device will operate on our reliable LTE network.
]]>Where available, 900 and 976 services are pay per call services that connect you to live or pre-recorded information such as chat lines, sports scores, or weather forecasts. You are charged either per-minute or flat rate per call. Advertising of these numbers will indicate how charges are applied.
You will not be charged the first time you set up 900 or 976 call blocking service, and no monthly charges apply; however, you will be charged $8 each time you decide to deactivate or reactivate the blocking service thereafter.
You may reasonably dispute 900 and 976 charges. SaskTel will waive these charges from your bill the first time they are reasonably disputed.
SaskTel will then offer to provide you with 900 and 976 blocking service and if you do not accept this service, you will be responsible for all future 900 and 976 charges that appear on your bill.
Please note that SaskTel is not a 900 or 976 service provider. SaskTel only bills on behalf of third-party 900 and 976 service providers.

]]>If you have moved or changed phone numbers, subscribing to Intercept Service for Business will let your callers know that the number they have dialed is no longer in service and will provide them with your new phone number.
With Basic Intercept Service for Business, a caller, dialing a non-working number or a number that has been changed, will be connected to the intercept system. This system will cross reference the old number to the new number and an automated voice will advise the caller of the new number. The caller must then dial the new number.
Intercept Service is payable up-front and will be charged on your final bill. Depending on the number of months you would like Intercept Service on your old line, your bill will be reflected accordingly. This charge is non-refundable.
When submitting your order, we will ask you for your number - please use the number you are disconnecting.
Please ensure your phone service is disconnected before ordering Intercept service.
]]>Block the Blocker allows you to reject incoming callers (local and long distance) that intentionally block their number from displaying on your telephone by using Per Call Blocking, Operator Assisted Call Blocking, and/or other services. As well, incoming cellular calls are treated as blocked calls and will be rejected if no telephone number is delivered.
Now there will be no more unknown numbers, private numbers, or anonymous numbers. Callers who are rejected will hear a recorded message that says, "The number you have dialed will not accept calls if your phone number is blocked. Please try your call again from a different phone number that is not blocked."
When you subscribe to Block the Blocker, it will be activated.
Block the Blocker and 9-1-1 service
Block the Blocker will block calls from emergency services. In an emergency, if you make a 9-1-1 call and hang up before a Public Safety Answering Point operator can answer your call the operator will be unable to call you back.

Additional services
Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls and send messages anywhere with a Wi-Fi network, even where there's little to no cell coverage.
No additional cost
As long as you have a compatible rate plan, Wi-Fi Calling is no additional cost. Your standard wireless rates will apply.
No additional data
Beyond providing an alternative to your already exceptional cell service, calling over Wi-Fi doesn't use data from your existing mobile plan.
No additional apps or hardware required
Wi-Fi Calling eliminates the need for extra apps like WhatsApp, Skype, and Viber.
What do I need to use Wi-Fi Calling?
You’ll need a compatible device and a wireless plan that includes unlimited nationwide calling in Canada.
Currently, Wi-Fi Calling is only available on the following devices:
How do I use Wi-Fi Calling?
Once you’ve enabled Wi-Fi Calling on your compatible device, when there is little or no cellular signal available and you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, your phone will use Wi-Fi for calls and messages. The status bar will display “SaskTel Wi-Fi” when Wi-Fi Calling is available. For instructions, see:
To use Wi-Fi Calling, VoLTE must be turned on within the network settings of your device. Wi-Fi Calling cannot be used outside of Canada.
Can I call 9-1-1 while in Wi-Fi Calling mode?
Yes. Your phone will try to place the call over the cellular network first. If there is no cellular coverage, your phone will try to make the call over Wi-Fi and will provide the 9-1-1 call center with the 9-1-1 address you provided during your Wi-Fi Calling setup process.
If the location of your emergency is different than this address, you’ll need to provide the 9-1-1 call center with your location. Visit the Changing your emergency address for Wi-Fi Calling page to learn more.
See Wi-Fi Calling Terms of Service for important information about using this service, including 9-1-1 limitations.

Ransomware is a subset of malware designed to target individuals or organizations. Attackers gain full control of the system and restrict access to personal and confidential files unless a ransom is paid. More complicated than malware, it locks up the system files and encrypts them, affecting personal computers, tablets, or smartphones, until a ransom is paid to unlock the system.
How SaskTel Cloud Backup protects you from ransomware:
“Around 25 per cent of all businesses will be targeted by hackers at some point. Additionally, 60 per cent of those stores that are not insured do not recover and close within six months. Small shops are often the biggest target.”
— Greg Marcyniuk with Heritage Insurance

SaskTel has Data Centres in multiple locations that are Tier III Uptime Institute Certified and provide redundant power, cooling and power generation. The facilities are site hardened with no windows or doors with direct access to the Data Centre facility. These facilities reside in geologically stable environments with low risk of natural disasters.
Environmental and safety controls
SaskTel Data Centre follows the ASHRAE 2011 Environmental Class A1 guidelines. Temperatures inside the Data Centre are carefully controlled and kept at a constant level, providing optimal operating conditions for data equipment. Air conditioning units, in excess of what is required, supply ventilation and cooling.
The facility features a two-stage fire suppression system with cross-zoned detection that responds to either heat or smoke. In addition, a separate fire detection mechanism constantly samples the air and acts in tandem with detectors mounted on the ceiling.
Power system
The Data Centre is connected to a stable public power grid and in the event of an outage, has backup diesel powered generators with enough fuel to guarantee power for a minimum of 3 days.
Redundant UPS and battery backup provide 20 minutes of power to the facility while the redundant generators start up providing on going power to the facility during an outage. In the event of a disaster that causes an outage for longer than SaskTel's guaranteed fuel supply, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency for emergency service identifies SaskTel as a critical infrastructure provider and would be considered for fuel priority.
Customers are provided A and B power distribution units to each rack providing redundancy for those systems utilizing dual power supplies enabling maintenance to be completed without interruption to customer service.
Security and monitoring
Security is of prime importance in the establishment of a data centre. Access to the SaskTel Data Centres is governed by SaskTel security policies. Physical entry is electronically secured, physically monitored, and staffed by bonded security personnel on a 24/7 basis. The Data Centre is protected by a number of additional measures:
The outer perimeter and corridors of the facility are monitored with closed-circuit cameras and motion detectors to ensure that no unauthorized individuals gain access to the facility.
To control access to the Data Centre itself, biometric scanners are used in conjunction with key-card access.
The Data Centre is protected with 24/7 onsite security guards and CCTV cameras monitoring access and infrastructure. All authorized customers are required to obtain a criminal record check. These personnel will be provided with secure card access and biometric profiles in order to enter the Data Centre. Unescorted access is granted 24/7 to authorized individuals only.
Vendor relationships
Data Centre servers are devoted to a variety of functions, including applications, databases, data warehousing, systems management, email and groupware. Given the wide array of resources used in delivering Data Centre services, SaskTel has established strong relationships with several vendors, including SUN Microsystems, HP, IBM, Microsoft, EMC, Cisco,VMware, ORACLE, Seccuris, Leibert, Rightline, and Starline
Disaster preparedness
In the event of disaster, SaskTel is committed to maintaining service continuity to the greatest possible extent with the objective of protecting property, plant, service capability and resources. SaskTel maintains an Emergency Operations Centre, which can be activated when necessary for any internal or external situations.
SaskTel has developed Corporate Administrative Procedures that relate to disaster recovery plans and procedures. These procedures are backed by our on-call certified vendors and partners, and are designed to facilitate service continuity methods, as well as operations compatibility.

Virtual Private LAN Service connects all your business locations to one network, with a level of security and reliability that Internet-based VPNs simply cannot match.
SaskTel Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) enables private Wide Area Network (WAN) capabilities by leveraging Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVC) to segment and differentiate traffic and prioritize data across your locations.
SaskTel E-line service provides dedicated and secure Layer 2 point-to-point Ethernet connectivity between two or more customer sites. This service allows customers to have complete control over their network management, including assignments of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), IP addressing, and routing protocols.
Do you need a high bandwidth wide area network in a very remote area? Microwave Ethernet Extension service provides a fibre-based network for remote areas.
]]>*10 Gbps capable accesses available in select locations
VPLS Internet
Adds a new EVC type to deliver internet connectivity directly to your locations over your VPLS access. Since the internet connectivity is delivered as an EVC and shares the UNI (physical access) with the VPLS service, adding internet to existing VPLS no longer requires dedicated facilities to access the public internet using your VPLS access.
VPLS IP Trunking
An interconnect option that provides an access to the SaskTel IP Trunking service through a single shared physical device. VPLS IP Trunking is a near real time EVC that is engineered and designed to carry voice traffic. An EVC allows voice traffic to be separated on a single physical connection.
Cloud Access
Secure and reliable connectivity to the cloud. Cloud Access provides a direct connection between your locations and cloud service providers for a better networking solution when compared to the public Internet.
Ethernet Private Line (EPL)
EPL service provides single EVC between two customer locations. EPL service enables customers to use any VLANs or Ethernet control protocol across the service. EPL provides a pure point-to-point connection without VLAN tagging and will allow the customer to use features like Media Access Control security (MACsec) and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). EPL permits the delivery of non-native Ethernet access speeds with a selected QoS profile within the EVC.
Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL)
EVPL is similar to EPL but supports the added flexibility to multiplex EVCs onto single physical interface at the customer's hub or aggregation site, in effect, creating a point-to-multipoint or spoke and hub topology. The EVPL solution will allow for the secure partitioning of Ethernet connections over a shared infrastructure and permits the delivery of non-native Ethernet access speeds, while allowing differentiated QoS between EVPL instances and between different traffic categories within an EVC.
Near Real Time
Offers a full speed Committed Information Rate (CIR) for low latency expedited transmissions of traffic for delay-sensitive, real-time applications such as voice and video that require strict priority over other traffic types.
Business Priority
Provides a CIR of one half the EVC speed that is suitable for delay sensitive business applications where it is desirable for certain business-critical applications to be serviced preferentially over the Best Effort Class of Service.
Multi-Class of Service (MCoS)
Provides a blend of the three QoS options offering flexibility in a single EVC made up of 15% Near Real Time, 50% Business Priority, and up to 100% Best Effort.
Best Effort
Best for day-to-day operations by providing normal transmission of delay-tolerant traffic.

COVID-19 challenged local charities to come up with new fundraising ideas. For Kinsmen TeleMiracle, the introduction of the paperless 50/50 draw helped them through the crisis. This video tells the story of Kinsmen TeleMiracle using EchoLotto, an online platform for raffles, charities, and nonprofits to hold province-wide online 50/50s that helps them raise the funds they need to deliver the services they provide.
When the numbers rolled in, the final total ended up being the third highest total ever raised in the 45-year history of TeleMiracle. The solution was backed by SaskTel Cloud Hosting, a service that delivers a managed environment for server equipment.

Meet Kyle Folk
Kyle is the founder of IntraGrain Technologies (now called Calian Agriculture) who manufactures Bin-Sense™, a wireless remote monitoring system for grain bins that uses SaskTel IoT Connectivity.
With wide-reaching wireless networks and the cloud, IoT delivers more for your business than ever. Cutting-edge technology allows you to capture events like temperature, inventory level, or status, then relays and translates this data into meaningful, actionable information: telling you that you need to order more inventory, or that your gas tank is low.
IoT applications are increasingly diverse, flexible, and customizable, helping your business boost productivity, efficiency, and growth in everything from asset management to remote monitoring, and more. SaskTel's IoT Connectivity is an efficient and easy way to manage these network connections for IoT devices.
Here are just a few ways your business can benefit from IoT Connectivity:

“We needed the most dependable network and the fastest Internet – and SaskTel delivered.” Nolan Tabashniuk, former Chief Operating Officer of Century 21 Dome Realty®
SaskTel: technology partner of choice for Century 21 Dome Realty®
Century 21 Dome Realty® started doing business in Regina in 1982. They quickly established a strong presence in their community and earned a market share as high as 40%. Today they vie for top spot in the real estate industry for homes sold. On an annual basis, the real estate agents of Century 21 Dome Realty® help approximately 1,600 families find homes.
It’s not going to be easy for Century 21 Dome Realty® to stay at the peak of the industry, so they came to SaskTel looking for a competitive edge. Among the options we recommended and provided was the infiNET 300 service. It gives them access to more high-performance internet service options including higher speeds, advanced features and functionality, and higher service reliability.
“It’s a much faster service with the capability to move a lot more data for relatively minimal additional cost,” says Nolan Tabashniuk, former Chief Operating Officer. “Our business takes technology seriously. SaskTel has been able to deliver the reliability and speed we need.”

While on another carrier's network in Canada (with whom SaskTel has roaming agreements):
There are no data usage limits or speed reductions imposed by SaskTel when you travel internationally; but remember, you have to pay for the data you use, and it can be quite expensive. For example, roaming charges in some areas are up to $15 per MB.
Before travelling, we recommend you:
We'll inform you of any changes in this policy by posting such changes to sasktel.com and communicating them to you in such other manner or medium as we determine is reasonable in the circumstances. We'll give 30 days prior notice of changes to this policy.
On August 5, 2015, changes were made to the Non-SaskTel Network Data Usage Policy that make the policy easier to understand and improve your wireless experience.
In October 2015, throttling activities specific to rural areas in Manitoba were removed. All Non-SaskTel Network Data traffic within Canada is treated the same.

Protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information is our highest priority.
We place a high priority on the loyalty of our customers, and that loyalty is built on a foundation of good products, competitive prices, and, above all, excellent customer service.
Respecting your right to privacy is an important part of our service excellence commitment. We promise to treat your personal information with the utmost respect. That includes keeping you up-to-date on your rights as our customer and providing you with information on how we use your personal information. Our Privacy Statement outlines our commitment to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information.
We may update this statement from time to time as reflected in the effective date of this document, so please review it periodically. You're also encouraged to review the Legal Notices and User Agreement provided on this website. They, too, are provided for your information and protection.
Personal information is defined as information about an identifiable individual. This includes information on your product and service subscriptions and usage. Publicly available information—like a public telephone book listing of your name, address, and telephone number—is not considered personal information.
We might collect information from you in person, over the phone, by mail, in writing or verbally or when you use one of our digital channels such as our website, mobile applications or contact us through social media in writing or verbally.
We collect information about you during the application process to confirm your identity and credit history, when communicating or transacting business with you, and when providing service to you. We may also collect information about you from third parties that have the right to disclose such information to us. However, prior to collecting this information, we would first get your consent except where it is impractical or inappropriate to do so.
Telephone calls and online chat sessions to or from our service representatives may be monitored and/or recorded. Your telephone and chat discussions with our representatives are used for our mutual protection, to enhance customer service, improve interactions with our representatives and to confirm our discussions with you.
Customers who prefer not to have their calls recorded can transact business at a store, dealer, or online at our web site.
We may also use video monitoring at SaskTel buildings to ensure the safety of our staff, our customers, and for fraud prevention.
From time to time, we may obtain information from 3rd party companies (such as geographic data) and combine it with information we have about you to help us provide product recommendations and offers that we think will interest you.
The personal data we collect will vary depending on the products or services inquired about or purchased, and may include: your name, address, phone number(s), date of birth, government issued identification, email address, the name of your company, name of a device user(s), IP addresses, device identification information such as your wireless SIM and IMEI, internet/TV gateway, service usage and site usage information, billing and transaction information, and financial information such as your bank account number.
We understand that some of this information is confidential, which is why we collect personal information only for the following purposes:
SaskTel may request SIN or HSC however customers are not obligated to provide it and the provision of service will not be denied should the SIN or HSC be withheld.
Customers may provide 2 other forms of identification, such as driver's license number or passport where they do not wish to provide their SIN or HSC and are still able to obtain service in accordance with our current credit policies.
Regardless of whether or not a SIN or HSC is provided by the customer, the credit check result may require a condition of service to be met such as providing a deposit or alternate form of security, pre-authorized payment, in the case of wireless noSTRINGS Prepaid service, or a reduction in the services or with restrictions such as toll restrictions.
See Can SaskTel ask for my SIN and HSC information?
Personal information is not sold or rented to any parties outside of the SaskTel corporate family without your consent or as permitted by SaskTel's Tariff.
We do share this information with the companies we select as our business partners, and who supply services to us. However, we require them, by contract, to honour our privacy principles in the handling of personal information they obtain from us.
The information provided to our business partners is used only for that purpose and any disclosure outside of SaskTel is made on a confidential basis. Should we sell a part of our business or merge or amalgamate part or all of our business with another entity, we may need to disclose customer information as part of the transaction. This is a normal business practice in any such transaction. Any such disclosure would be subject to appropriate privacy and security safeguards. In certain circumstances in which it is necessary to do so, or where permitted by law, we may disclose your personal information without your consent to the following parties:
The information you provide to us on our web site is securely maintained and kept confidential. Information is retained in secure facilities, and protected from unauthorized access. We provide technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure.
For some services, SaskTel uses service providers located in another country to process and store information related to that service and as a result foreign governments, courts, law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through the laws of that country.
We've always been, and will continue to be, committed to the privacy of your personal information. Our personnel are required to complete mandatory privacy training courses, and general staff education and training, to enhance awareness of responsibilities and commitments towards the proper handling of customer's personal information in accordance with our policies and procedures.
We'd like to have your consent to continue to collect, use, and disclose your personal information for the purposes that we have outlined. However, you do have choices.

Services and devices to access our services may be purchased for family use and therefore used by children without our knowledge. When this happens, information collected may appear to us to be associated with the adult customer who subscribes to our services and will be treated as the adult’s information under this policy.

"Whether it's that move to SaskTel's data centre or allowing our fans to contact our ticket office through phone solutions, SaskTel really handles our technology," says Craig Reynolds, President and CEO, Saskatchewan Roughriders. "And that allows us to focus on our business, which is running a football team."
SaskTel: official technology partner of the Saskatchewan Roughriders
When the Saskatchewan Roughriders moved into the new Mosaic Stadium, they faced several obstacles. Their former office was in a building that was challenged in terms of technology and they were moving into a new, state-of-the-art facility. They turned to SaskTel because we understand their business needs.
The Roughriders had long been a SaskTel customer and the organization was already enjoying the advantages of Cloud Hosting. It provided a strong starting point to build a custom solution for the team. We recommended augmenting their portfolio of SaskTel services with Hosted Collaboration Solution, connecting the entire office with the rest of the world. The Riders also went with Hosted Contact Centre to optimize their resources.
“Having a partner like SaskTel who can understand our business needs as opposed to just selling us services is really important and one of our keys to success,” says IT Manager Ricardo Del Cid. “Having solutions that are understood and well-supported at the end of the day is what’s going to keep the lights on here.”

"Migrating to the SaskTel VPN Aggregation option over LANspan IP has saved South East Cornerstone School Division $80,000 over a four-year period through reduced hardware and licensing costs.
In addition, we can leverage VPN Aggregation as we migrate to fiber-based WAN services; we can potentially eliminate the network distribution layer and rely entirely on SaskTel routers at the school level, which could additionally save well over $250,000 every four years.
Also, using SaskTel's managed VPN service instead of having to manage our own IPsec VPN solution has saved us an estimated $80,000 - $160,000 in labour costs over the past four years."
—Justin Arendt - Manager of Information Systems, South East Cornerstone School Division

Learn more about Wireless Backup
Maintain productivity. Many employees require a connection to the internet or off-site network resources to perform their work. A disruption can negatively impact productivity, costing your business time and money.
Peace of mind. Even during disruptions to your primary connection, wireless backup keeps you in business and in contact with partners, customers, and suppliers.
Wireless Backup can detect a disruption to your wireline connection and will automatically switch your primary access over to a wireless connection, keeping mission critical applications up and running such as:
When your primary service is restored, Wireless Backup will automatically move your connection from wireless back to your Business Internet, Dedicated Internet, or LANspan IP access without you having to do anything.
Wireless Backup is an all-inclusive contingency feature with no hidden usage fees or data throttling, so even during an outage to your primary access, your business can continue to operate.
]]>SaskTel data limitations are in place to ensure an optimal network experience for all our customers. By managing the data usage of a very small group of the heaviest data users, we can maintain a higher quality of service for all customers. Managing data consumption also allows us to continue to offer the only Canada-wide data plans with no additional roaming charges.
The Wireless Fair Use Policy data usage limits are:
See the Wireless Fair Use Policy Non-Tariff (pdf) for complete details.
Exceeding The Wireless Fair Use Policy Limits for Data
If you exceed the Wireless Fair Use Policy usage limits, your wireless data service will be slowed down to:
The slowdown will be for the remainder of your billing period. This will affect all of your wireless data services such as browsing the web, streaming audio and video, uploading and downloading pictures and any apps that require an internet connection.
Please be assured that this slowdown will still allow you to access web browsing, email and instant messaging. While you probably won't notice the difference if you are browsing webpages, you may notice difficulty in doing activities that consume high bandwidth, such as when you try to stream radio or videos.
Notifications
If you go over the data limit, you'll receive a text message informing you that your data speed has been reduced for the rest of your billing period. Please note that Mobile Internet and MiFi devices are unable to receive text messages. Incoming text messages are always free.
To prevent your service from being slowed, you can monitor your data usage by visiting mysasktel.com.
Restoring Your Data Speeds
At the end of your billing period, your data speed will return to normal. However, if your data usage exceeds the limit in any subsequent billing period, your wireless data service will again be slowed for the remainder of that period.
See Restoring your wireless data speed for more information.
Non-SaskTel Network Data Usage
We've partnered with other carriers to offer wireless coverage outside of Saskatchewan. As a result of these partnership costs, we've established the Wireless Fair Use Policy to manage your wireless data usage while you're using another carrier's network outside of Saskatchewan.
In Canada
While on another carrier's network in Canada (with whom SaskTel has roaming agreements):
International
There are no data usage limits or speed reductions imposed by SaskTel when you travel internationally; but remember, you have to pay for the data you use, and it can be quite expensive. For example, roaming charges in some areas are $15 per MB.
Wireless Voice and Text Usage
The SaskTel Wireless Fair Use Policy includes new information on limits and restrictions for voice and text services purchased on an unlimited basis. We want to make sure you understand how these services work to prevent any surprises on your bill.
Please Note: SaskTel does not guarantee the speed of its wireless network nor the speed of any SaskTel wireless service due to a variety of factors including without limitation, customer device type, SaskTel wireless network congestion, SaskTel wireless signal strength and the distance the customer is from a SaskTel wireless service tower when accessing the SaskTel wireless network or using any SaskTel wireless service. Building materials may also impact indoor coverage, speed and performance of the SaskTel wireless network and SaskTel wireless service offerings.
