Early device upgrade is available to SaskTel wireless customers who are on a 1 year or 2-year contract term. Here is how we calculate your device balance: When you buy a device on a fixed contract term, you get a discount on the purchase price of your device. The longer your contract, the bigger your discount. Your device balance is calculated based on the discount you received and the time left on your contract. For example, a $299.99 device costs $99.99 on a 2-year contract resulting in a device balance at the time of purchase of $200.00. If, with only 90 days remaining on your contract term you want to upgrade to a brand new device, you'd need to pay out the remainder of the device balance, which would be $24.99 ($200.00 /24 months = $8.33 per month x 3 months remaining on the wireless contract term). Then you'd be eligible for the discounted price of a new phone!

Trade-in value for any device you trade in is determined by the after-market value of the device and its condition. Trade-in value for devices is subject to change without prior notice. To receive a full trade-in credit, a device must be in good working condition (must power on; be able to place a call; LCD must display all information with no defects; must have battery and back cover). Some credits may be offered for non-working devices. Trade-in credits may only be used at the time of the trade-in and have no cash value. The Customer is responsible to ensure that a trade-in device has been deactivated and cleared of all personal information. All trade-in transactions are final. A limit of one trade in per new device purchased applies. The trade-in option is available to new and existing, postpaid and prepaid, SaskTel customers. SaskTel or competitor devices are eligible for the trade-in option.

Financing is available starting at $2.50 per month, which requires a minimum purchase price of $60. An annual interest rate of 0% for wireless devices (includes tablets and smartwatches) and 20% for accessories applies. Financing payments will appear on your monthly wireless bill (any device purchased through Plus Pricing will be shown on the bill as a line item called "Equipment Financing"). Phone financing is only available for wireless service equipment. Financing is over a 24-month term and is available to new customers (in-store only) and existing customers (in-store or online), subject to approved credit, who sign a new 2-year contract at the time of purchase and subscribe to a current voice or data rate plan. Monthly financing payments are not affected by rate plan changes. Customers can pay the full remaining financing balance owing at any time. If the wireless contract is cancelled, termination fees may apply. You will be required to pay the balance owing on your phone financing.
