Chad Olson

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in 2023, Chad Olson leads the technical professionals at SaskTel responsible for providing an advanced and robust telecommunications network that offers quality, competitive communications solutions to SaskTel customers.

Chad has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry. Prior to his CTO role, Chad held senior leadership roles in SaskTel’s technology division leading technology evolution for SaskTel’s wireless and wireline networks and services.

Chad has a Master of Applied Science (MASc) and a Bachelor of Science (BaSc) in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of Regina and is a Professional Engineer Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Chad serves on the Engineering Advisory Board for the University of Regina.

Growing up on a family ranch in southwestern Saskatchewan, Chad is a lifelong Saskatchewan resident. Chad and his wife Megan live in Regina and have two daughters and a son who are all very active in the soccer community.
